Real life gets in the way sometimes, as I'm sure you all know. Sometimes that real life is spending more time with your husband and kids, dealing with stress, playing Killing Floor or listening to the Psychadelic Furs over and over and over and over (don't you judge me).

My real life has indeed been getting in the way. I haven't really been able to put out too much new stuff for PUDGE which makes me sad; however, I feel like i'd like to do something to make up for that. I've decided to permanently mark down my 3 packs of PUDGE hair from 225L to 190L (that's right, marked down forever and ever). I have also marked down PUDGE clothing, glasses, and other random goodies so you have to make sure to check it out.

So yesterday I was working my fat little buns off, trying and trying to make something fantastic for all of my loyal PUDGE lovers and I almost thought all hope was lost. Then it came to me, scissors! And what was created my friends is PUDGE history and had me laughing to myself saying, "oh you clever thing you!". This hair is totally not something you're going to show up at a party with and see someone wearing something similar, no way jose! Take a peek!

It's called "Folicular homicide" (My husband's brilliant idea blending the words "Folical" and "Vehicular", and it comes with the following things: The hair (with 3 sets of scissors attached IN the hair), little hair bits (detachable) that are supposed to look as though they're falling on your shoulder (but of course they can be moved wherever you please), and a pair of scissors to hold in your hand so you can look like you went on a chopping spree. It's really hard to explain and more amazing in person so head over to PUDGE and try the demo!

Despite the fact that I am most likely infected with the bubonic plague (oh, alright, I just have a normal ol' virus) I have been so incredibly busy! I have 2 new hairs out at PUDGE and I think you're likely to like at least one of them (I realize that sentence was confusing; however, I refuse to remedy it).

The first hair was inspired by a 1960's fashion photo that my lovely, bizarre and endearing friend Martha Swindlehurst sent me. I call it "Piggy Moffitt". Here's a pic yo (special thanks to Apatia Hammerer for making the ad! Yes, my photoshop is still out of commission).

It's 9 am. I didn't sleep too well last night because I kept having dreams about my cat eating my feet (I'm pretty sure she'd do it, she's ruthless). There's nothing like the moment you gaze upon your latest creation and say, "Were I able to make love to this, I would" (I promise I didn't actually try to have sex with virtual hair though, psssh, I'm not THAT gross). That special moment you know you've done something to be proud of.

When I finished this particular hair (Satanic Dance Party 2009) I knew that I had done something special because when I woke up the next morning one of my eyes was so swollen I could only assume the hair had been so potent visually that my eyes could not take the strain of it's fabulousness and proceeded to have some sort of reaction to it (Note that I'm not responsible for your eyes swelling with joy, limbs falling off with glee, or body parts deteriorating with happiness after you purchase this hair).

Everyone loves pose packs (located at Pudge for only 350L for 20 sweet-ass poses) but not everyone is richy rich (like my mom) so when I'm not being tragically, hideously, horribly lazy I like to stick pose packs into individual pose vendors (only 35L per pose!) so that you (the working class after my own heart) may purchase poses one at a time!

I don't have much to say. Nothing witty, nothing funny, nothing entertaining in the least really. Don't take it personally, it's not because I don't love you; rather, it's because I had to work retail on Black Friday and I haven't quite recovered....

So, to the point I made new hair. It's pretty good (if you're into that kind of thing) so I recommend you come try it on and also purchase it, that is if you don't want to just walk around with the cupcake demo on your head...don't be a cheap-skate, it makes Crystyle cry tears of unending sadness (just like Tom Cruise when he found out he never was going to reach a "big boy" height).

If I could have any poster above my computer desk right now it would be the classic image of the kitten dangling from the tree and the inspirational wording, "Hang in there baby!" because s*** has been absolutely nuts around these parts. The bad news is I've been working so much that in my down time I've been kickin' it with the children I gave birth to. The good news is I've been able to steal some time for myself to create hair again!

I have two new hairs to release but you only get one for now (heh-heh-heh) as I have not made an ad for the second one (heh-heh-lazy). The hair you see before you is called "Danzig's Girl" and it's a fun vintage style with a few modern twists. So recently life has kinda decided to take a gigantic steamy dumparoo on me. Things have been rough folks...like...way rough. I'm getting beaten down by the man! So I have a new store on the Voo Doo Dolls Island at Dover Crossing. It's a pretty adorable little place. In honor of the opening of this island there will be a goodie hunt! As some of you may know I'm participating in the 2008 hair fair
(Aug 22-Sept 2). I'm pretty pumped about it. Pumped like Chyna Doll (except without the bizarre set of genitals). This year the hair fair was trying to be super cool and let everyone slap demos for their hair onrez; however, it seems that we've all killed onrez at the moment so they've allowed us to put JUST THE DEMO at our store locations. These hairs are only available for purchase at the hair fair until Sep.3rd when they will be put in Pudge stores.

(When you purchase the Sweet Eva hair, 50% of the funds go to the Charity "Locks of Love". That's pretty flippin' sweet.)

Clams and Hair, hell yes.

The Starlust clam dig (that's what I'm calling it in my head), known to some as "Clam hunt 2008" or "Super Find the Clam Fun Time" is still going on at both Floyd and Lloyd. As some of you may already know I stuck 12 different colors of a hairstyle called "Lady Spank Inferno" throughout the FLOYD sim in tiny golden clams. Other designers have put a lot of sassy underpants in tiny golden clams. I dare you to find them!

Also, I gave you a sneak peek yesterday of a hair that I was working on. Well it turns out that I was motivated enough today to recolor that action so it is available NOW at my Floyd Pudgeburger (do a search for pudge and you can get a LM to the new location). The hair is called "Organic Flower Beast" and is a quirky and fun style with some flexi pieces that frame the face nicely. As always my 3 hair packs are 225L. Let's do this baby.

Sup homies. I'm sorry that I've not gotten around to releasing anything new in ages and ages but I promise new things are JUST around the corner. The good news is I did manage to toss together some hair for the Floyd/Lloyd Underpants Clam Hunt. Thing is, I don't make very good underpants so I figured I'd slap some hair together for this event. There will be various designers from both Lloyd and Floyd participating. Take a peek around for the small golden clams hidden throughout the sims. I have 12 clams hidden as there are 12 different hair colors. Each clam is 1L so get to huntin' my beautiful Starlusty angels. The Fair Verona: 225L per 3 color pack

So I've been kind of a busy beaver this week. Well, I'm not actually a beaver as I'm sure you could have figured out; however, were I an actual beaver I'd be building a mighty dam of hair. A dam that could withstand both nature's fury and beauty. Except the unfortunate thing is I can't unveil my fabulous theoretical hair dam yet (bear with me, I know this analogy is crappy) because I'm saving it for the hair dam fair. Ok, I think I finally (and ridiculously) explained what I've been doing in a not so proper or coherent way, I'll sum it up by saying this, "I can't release anything new because I've been too busy making stuff for the hair fair" hell, I probably should have just said it that way in the first place.

Anyhoo, I decided what I would do is re-release an older hair that I had made wayyyy back when The Starlust Motel was in it's infancy, when it was just a tiny little angel baby just begging to be nurtured and loved. This hair is called Fair Verona and was originally available only in fat pack form and was offered for a very limited time. I figured it was time to WHIP THIS SUCKA BACK OUT. So yeah, here it is for you available only at the Pudgeburger at Floyd right now (until I become less lazy and stick it out somewhere else).

First of all, I made new hair, FINALLY!! It's called "I married Medusa" and it's a whole lotta bizarre (just as I'm sure you've come to expect from me) but ridiculously cute as well. I'm particularly fond of the bangs. Go check it out at the Starlust Motel PUDGE location. Do it. Now.

Second of all...life...how it offers an interesting array of obstacles for you to hurdle from time to time. I haven't released anything in almost a month for a few reasons; most of them obnoxious (except #3). Let me now list the following things that have happened in the past month.

1. I injured my foot badly and it has prevented me from working (although it's almost completely better now) and making part of my income.

2. A HUGE storm came through my town and literally blew up parts of my computer (despite surge protection). I've had to use my husband's computer which has no photoshop, avimator, etc. It has so far cost me $200 I should not have spent to fix things that were damaged (and it's still not completely up and running yet). This has prevented me from making money in Second Life (another part of my income).

3. We saved a helpless little kitten from certain doom; however, it cost us $100 to take it to the vet for medicine for and eye infection and upper respiratory infection. But she's soooo damn cute I couldn't say no.

So folks, I'm normally not a beggar but I could really use some Lindens weighing down my virtual pockets right now because mama needs to recuperate some losses!! Alright boys and girls, I have in fact been working on hair; however, I am waiting to release some of them for special reasons (secrets, yay!). So, to tide my PUDGE peeps over I decided to release some poses.

For any of you who make poses you'll know very well how hard it can be to come up with new ideas constantly. It's damn exhausting is what it is! So, I enlisted help from my 8-year-old son Nigel to pose for me while I created some new magic. It's genius; seriously, I couldn't have come up with some of the stuff he did.

So it's that time of the week, time to release new hair that is! My newest creation is the "Octopus Ponytail". It's a whole lotta wacky but cute none the less. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to elaborate on it's positive qualities beyond "wacky but cute" because I have to head out to an appointment with the orthopedic doctor (we finally get to see what happens from this point on in the fractured foot saga). Who doesn't love cotton candy? Hell, I'd give my right foot for some right now (granted my right foot is fractured so that wouldn't be too big a sacrifice). I made this hair with the help of prescription painkillers (that were prescribed to me for my foot pain thank you very much, haha) and I think that's obvious. I also think it's beautiful. Only 50L for 12 hair colors and you can walk around looking like some amazing sugary creation! This hair is at the Starlust Motel PUDGE location only for now (until I feel motivated to stick it other places).

Oh also, my birthday is June 21st (Saturday) so I will be gone for part of the weekend. I shall be attending a glorious "Mustaches and Cupcakes" party thrown in my honor by my charming and adorable friends. In case you were wondering I do accept lavish gifts and treats if you so desire giving them, hahahhaha.

On Friday I have to go to the orthopedic physician to see what needs to be done with my foot from this point forward (up until now I've been hobbling around on crutches with the foot brace given to me by the doctor at the emergency room). Here's to hoping he can pull some Mr.Miagi action (reference: The Karate Kid) and just fix it with some crazy karate magic (I'm sure all orthopedic physicians know karate magic).

Let me tell you a story of a clumsy girl who thought she knew how to walk properly. Well, the other night this girl (after polishing up a 2 am email to a friend) stood up too fast, spun around and her foot rolled under her weight making an ever so lovely "crunch" noise. The girl dropped to the ground and made unflattering sounds that signified that she was in pain. After making these pain/goat noises for a minute she looked at her foot to evaluate the damage; well, it was swollen and looking reddish purple (so cute!).

After some amount of passing time (could have been two minutes or two hours)the girl managed to hobble back to her bedroom where she woke up her husband and demanded that he magically fix her foot. Alas, the husband (although incredibly good looking and hunky) could not do this for her. The husband promised he would take her to the doctor once he got home from work later that day.

Ok, to make this ridiculously long story short turns out the girl (me) has a fractured foot. After 5 hours in the emergency room, some x-rays, and some unceremonious foot prodding the doctor told me that I have a fracture of some nature BUT I need to go see an orthopedic specialist to determine what needs to be done. So fun. Thankfully my birthday is June 21st and some girlfriends and I are getting together for some hoots and hollers no matter what (although bar hopping is now out of the question since I'm not too mobile, haha).

So I'm doped up on painkillers, hobbling around on crutches trying to keep up with my kids, and nursing a hurt foot. I did manage to make some hair the day before I screwed up my foot and I've put it out at the Starlust Motel location ONLY because I'm wayyyy too out of it and feeling too crummy to do much work; however, I really wanted to get it out there for you guys. I will put it out at my other locations sometime in the future.

The hair is called "Drunk Loretta and the Tri Balls". It's pretty fun and wacky hair that has optional bangs to allow for two different looks! Go on over to the starlust motel and try a demo. I even made it so that the demo bangs are detachable so you can get an accurate idea of how versatile this hair is:)

You know what's neat? Being fabulous. Not just anyone can be fabulous. I hear your mom is pretty fabulous (oh my, what a woman), but are YOU? Well, when I think of being fabulous a certain era comes to mind. That era my friends is the 1960's. Sure, the 50's were great, everyone loves gigantic rolled coifs, dramatic A-line dresses, and cat eye glasses; however, it seems like so often the fabulous 1960's get overlooked in the land of contemporary fashion (or if we do remember them we only seem to recall garish prints, peace signs, and circular "John Lennon" style glasses).

I conjure images in my mind of massive creations that took 5 cans of ultra hold Eco-non-friendly hairsprays to maintain. Where they boxed your head into a dome of style unparalleled by anything in today's hair arsenal. Fabulous women strutting the streets of the world decked out in sleek calf high boots, ultra-mini skirts, and flawlessly sculpted hair-do's.

For you, my darlings, I've released a hairstyle called "Maude the Mod". This hair is not for the faint of fashion heart. It is big and commands attention! Heck, I don't think big even describes it properly...it's PREGNANT with FABULOUSNESSS.

So with the whole pro-ana vs. body acceptance thing floating about like a bizarre rain cloud it's been a weird week. A friend and I were recently having a conversation about the ridiculous nature of some television programs that try to send a "fat positive" message by making Tyra Banks (or anyone else) dress in a "fat suit" for a day to see how people treat them.

I personally find these shows highly amusing considering the way in which they comically dress these women up and not only make them fat, but also make them look absolutely ridiculous. And in all the years I've been fat I've only ever faced discrimination based on being so in games like THERE or Second Life(TM), and that I think the depictions of an average day in a fat person's life in these shows are inaccurate. I don't know if there is some higher force trying to cosmically prove me wrong for saying those programs are a little exaggerated because this week has been nothing but fat comments and bizarre "fatism" (fatism is defined as discrimination against someone for being overweight).

This week I have, in real life, been called fat twice. The first time I was doing some grocery shopping very late at night (about 1 a.m.) and happened by a fellow who took it upon himself to state loudly, "Hey lady, nice fat ass". Now, the tone of his voice indicated this could have been either a compliment OR an insult; however, either way I wasn't super impressed.

Then as I was walking outside to take a break at work the other day there were a group of three men sitting outside smoking and one audibly commented "Fat ass girl" as I walked by. I'm not sure if people assume being fat also means I'm deaf too...as though cellulite is clogging my ear canals or something.

So I guess I wasn't super surprised when today in Second Life (TM) I was introduced to an absolutely delightful individual by the name of Drewseph Dinosaur. I happened upon this individual because I was standing outside of my PUDGE shop at the Starlust Motel. I was contemplating moving some vendors around and such when he meandered up to me and started to talk.

The conversation that took place between he and I is a perfect example of what I have encountered several times in Second Life (and other games) because of my avatar's size. It seems as though people have less of an internal dialogue based on the anonymity of games like these. I can see how that may be liberating in many ways (maybe for people who feel they can't express themselves properly in real life) but it also seems to make some people lose a sense of responsibility toward respect for other individuals and their feelings. Granted, I took nothing this individual said to heart because I honestly could care less if someone thinks I'm fat (I mean, no duh, I'm fat). But it does bother me that people think it's ok to randomly harass people without instigation.

You will notice that I asked Drewseph Dinosaur for his express permission to quote him in my blog. I didn't think it was fair to record and post a conversation without the permission of the individuals involved. I was granted permission and have proof of such (see convo below).
Note also in the conversation the part when I was told that I must have been "asking for" discrimination based on the fact that my avatar is fat and my shop is a gigantic hamburger. Alas...

Normally I wouldn't use my fashion update blog to do anything but inform about updates and releases, but it has recently it has come to our attention (those who read the fashion feed and other SL players) that there is a flickr group dedicated to the idea that eating disorders are OK and that emaciated thinness is beautiful.

I personally have nothing against being thin; however, like many of you I was frustrated to learn that there was an SL group advocating eating disorders. I almost said I was "shocked" to learn of this, but sadly I am not shocked at all. In today's society where we are constantly force fed propaganda about what a body ideal is (or should be), I can't say it shocks me that people are falling into the various traps that exist surrounding this issue.

I am not angered at the individuals who run these sites, in fact I just feel very sorry for them. Many people struggle with illnesses like anorexia nervosa, bulimia, and body dysmorphic disorder and I do not think of someone with a disorder or a disease as being a horrible person based solely on behaviors triggered by their disorder or disease. Rather, I think in situations like this there needs to be an intervention of some nature involving people who post sites that advocate unhealthy ideals. Perhaps rather then chastise those individuals that run these self harm groups we should encourage them to seek the proper medical attention and help that they require for their illness.

Public awareness is important regarding these matters. It is important that the message of self love and body acceptance be nurtured and encouraged. For any of you who know me personally, have met me in world, or have seen my pictures here on my blog (just look through the history), you will know that my avatar is not skinny; in fact, she is on the very plump side. Some people live out fantasy via their virtual existence but that is not what I do. When I created my avatar she was an extension of my RL self and in being so she is fat. Heck people, my store name is PUDGE and there is a reason for that. I have always been an advocate for sending the message that beauty exists across a very broad spectrum and that although thin can be beautiful, fat can be too.

I decided to post here something I wrote on another blog about 2 years ago regarding the "fat" issue. I hope you can appreciate and enjoy it.

On being a fat girl
There are a few things that are apparent through the viewing of American television. A:) We love trash talking people and or watching people make fools of themselves for the sake of our own amusement/and or to make ourselves feel better. B:) We love all that is artificial, prepackaged, pre-determined, and thought out for us. And C:) You must not be fat, and if you are; you are a gross von grosserton and there is no reason you can not pop a bucket full of TRIM-SPA baby and make it all go away.

I like being fat. I am not saying it for the purpose of trying to make anyone else more body comfortable. I am not saying it for the purpose of trying to make people like/feel sorry for me. I am not saying it for the purpose of starting a new fat-positive trend, no, I really, truly and honestly like being who I am.

Granted, I am not just a fat girl. I am an artist, a student, a mother, a wife, a friend, a writer, and a person who really enjoys simplicity with moments of pure unfiltered chaos. But of course what you are aesthetically is the first impression people get of you (unless you have the luxury of being a shut in with only indirect means of communication). I am a lot of things. But in the white-bread-pop-culture-American eye I am a fat little ethnic girl.

Why would someone dare not want to be tall, blonde, and slender? How is it that with all the media corruption and constant propaganda that people like myself would choose to be fat? I have one very simple answer, because I think I'm hot and I like to eat. Yes, that is it. I have the biggest ego on almost any fat girl you will meet, at times to the point of being slightly narcissistic. Everyone has their preferences for what they find is their "body ideal" but to be frank, I think fat chicks are hot, hot shit. When I draw a woman's body, I draw one with substance, with girth, with beautiful rolling curves as that is what I find attractive; truly, from the deepest depths of my person.

I am proud of my body. It has carried children and given birth. It has tried to sabotage me through a medley of malfunction. It is soft and jiggly and sensual and round. It is funny and awkward at times. And it is the only one I will have the chance to be in (despite spiritual beliefs) at the moment.

When in public and I make a statement that pertains to my weight such as "Whoa, forget going for that long walk, I would not be a chubby girl if I were walking that far!" I do not expect those in my company to say something such as "Oh, why Crystal, how delusional you must be for you are nothing but a svelte little buttercup and of course by no means overweight!" I am not asking for someone to reply in such a way. In fact, I think it is rather sad that someone feels as though they have to.

Why is it so hard to fathom someone being completely and utterly comfortable in his or her own flesh? Granted, there is the media and those wonderful negative influences that haunt us: i.e., childhood taunting, parental influence, etc. It took me a great many years to come to terms with the fact that I will forever be a: short, chubby, black haired, Italian girl. Rather than having the chance to ever be a tall, statuesque, blond, American ideal of perfection.

It makes me very sad when I hear women say they are unhappy in their own skin. When I hear the girls at school say "God, if I could only drop 10 lbs I would be wearing a size 8!!" I laugh guttural laughs in response to these comments. All of these beautiful and intelligent women who put so much weight (no pun intended) on the importance of 10 lbs. why? Will it make a huge physical change in their appearance? Most likely not. Then why? It’s because of that number. Whatever beautiful number they wish to attain, be it 8, or 10, or 2. I feel sorry for the woman (or man I mean not to be sexist here as I imagine men go through body image difficulty as well, but seeing as I am a woman I can only relate to one side of the issue) who puts all her happiness eggs in the size 8 basket.

There is an understanding on my behalf though, that everyone is different. Not everyone can be thin, or fat (for my liking). And to me, the most important thing is that someone is doing what he or she is doing for himself or herself, not for anyone else. Be that the choice to loose weight, dye their hair, or get a breast augmentation. I really don't care. I understand the desire to do things to enhance ones appearance. I am guilty of that as well (tattooing for example is very much vanity on my part) but its the concept of being so unhappy with one-self unless they have one very specific thing. I think its a beautiful thing when someone can say "I look great now, but I have a size 8 pair of pants I adore and would love to fit, but if I never fit them, that is ok as I can stare at them and all their glory as they hang in my closet collecting dust until the day I can".

In closing I say, love who you are ladies and gents, because in all honesty things could be much worse...I am just going to throw out the term Leprosy here as a good example. Just remember when you want to put on that pair of jeans that just wont zip up right, be thankful that you don't have terrible skin lesions or massive tumors (or if you do, see a physician immediately).

I was sitting down the other day watching ludicrous amounts of 80's teen shows/movies and I thought about how much I wanted one of those skin tight, ruched, 80's prom dresses. I decided the only way to remedy this desire was to create this dream dress in our virtual world of course!

While designing these dresses I couldn't decide if I wanted the fabulous poofy skirted dress with the cliche' lace under layer or if I wanted the more Pretty-Woman-esque mini dress version. I decided I'd do BOTH. So these dresses come with a poofy and mini skirt option. Hot hot hot!

It's been a fairly bizarre week. In RL things have been kinda lame...my daughter got sick with strep throat, I have bronchitis, and Flavor of Love 3 finally came to a close (lets hope New York does another season or I'm completely out of horrible reality t.v. that I secretly love). In the virtual world; however, things have been on the upswing! The Starlust Motel has been doing faaaaabulously! Moosh is going to have a fashion show tomorrow (May 24th) and I've got some new releases just in time for extended weekend shopping (hooray for having Monday off, am i right?!)

The first new release I've got for all you lovelies is more basic shirts. I know that I personally can never have enough basic shirts in my wardrobe and therefore I'm offering you; the beautiful people, the same luxury. The shirts are called "Simple Scoops" and come in 2 color packs for your shirt-wearing enjoyment.

My second new release is a hairstyle that was inspired by a pair of glasses that Marcelle DeCuir created. My lovely friend Melatonin Hax was telling me how there just aren't enough pin up-esque poses in our virtual world. I decided to remedy that situation by putting out a pack of pin up poses sure to please (say that 5 times fast).

This pose pack is located ONLY at the Starlust Motel PUDGE location as of yet (we'll see If I plop it in other locations later). Thing is, I've been slightly lazy because i've got bronchitis/a head cold and it's sort of making me feel like I'm constantly in some bizarre hippy daze.
I have some shirts I need to make ads for, so look forward to that release sometime later this week when I'm not feeling like total hell in a handbasket. Until then, I plan on keeping this short and sweet, ta-ta for now boys and girls.

The new Starlust Motel is finally open. It's been a long wait folks; however, it's SO been worth it. I suggest you drop whatever it is you're doing and get your sweet buns down there fast as can be. "Where should I visit at the Starlust first?" you may be asking yourself. Well, a good place to start is the lobby of the hotel itself to pick up some crappy freebies (at the Starlust we pride ourselves in the crappy-ness of our freebies). Heck, even I have a couple of freebies in the lobby, including this cute "I (heart) PUDGE" shirt!

Your second stop on your fabulous trip to the new Starlust Motel should be to PUDGE of course! You will be absolutely floored by how amazing this new shop is. I can't show pictures here; no no, you'll just have to go see. OK, I'll throw out these two words, "Gigantic Hamburger". Yeah, seriously...amazing. I have finally seemed to climb out of the ditch of lack of creativity into the land of inspiration (I know, worst analogy ever), and because of this I've got a few new releases to offer!

Very recently I sold off some Linden and got myself a Wacom tablet. This has been a fabulous addition to my life. In fact, I love this tablet so deeply I've considered giving it the unofficial title of "third child" because I'm growing to have a deep and motherly love for this tablet. I want to protect and nurture the tablet via the creations we are bound to make together. At first our interactions (the tablet's and I) were a little awkward and unfamiliar; however, we are now at the point where we're like old chums sitting back and sharing a merry laugh over a nice dark beer. Perhaps the title of unofficial child is inaccurate; more likely the tablet is like a drinking buddy, someone who will sit back and let you be a complete ass without judgement...beautiful.

Anyhoooo, I've got new hair as well as some fun basic shirts to offer and I'm sure you'll like them (well, I can't be completely sure, but I figure it's fairly likely...I don't want to sound like a narcissist though). The hair is called "Carmen Takes a Lover" and was inspired by a mix between 1920's hairstyles and saucy Spanish senoritas.

So, as many of you have heard both Cherry Buttons and Cotton Candy are no longer under the same management and are in the midst of chaos all around. I shall not use this blog as an opportunity to say anything negative about that situation; although I am sad to announce that both the Cherry Buttons and Cotton Candy PUDGE locations will no longer be in existence.

I assure you, my fine people that PUDGE will continue to flourish elsewhere. I still have locations at: The Starlust Motel, Moosh, Fashion Victim, and Caribe. And if you haven't already heard, the Starlust is in the process of expanding and I can absolutely 100% guarantee that you are going to squeal with glee when you see all of the things we have in store for you.

I plan on having a new main store at the Starlust once the expansion is complete. It will be PUDGE's most glorious moment. I really, really wish I could tell you all about it; however, I can't for 2 reasons: 1st reason is it's super top secrety secret, and the 2nd reason is I'm very lazy and want to sit on my back porch and drink a beer here in about 5 minzzzz.

Where does a lady go in her new Paper Couture?

So after picking myself up some items from the delicious spring line of Paper Couture I asked myself "Where does a ridiculously, stunningly beautiful woman go after she has picked herself up fashionable accoutrement?" The answer to that question; of course, is the Starlust Motel. "Is there any more classy a place on the grid then that of the Starlust?" I asked myself while taking in the posh scenery. However, my darling baby Murr Philip Seymour Hoffman Bukowski Jr. was getting a little cranky (seething with jealousy over my stunning presentation no doubt) and I had to take her to the pool for a little fun in the sun.

One may say that an evening gown has no place in a public pool; however, you will find that the pool water at the Starlust Motel is so impeccably clean that you could give birth in it (where do you think I had baby Murr?). Obviously I look nothing short of bewitching in my Paper Couture on this charming floaty raft. That naked woman kept getting in my shot; but alas, every dog has it's day does it not?

I then dropped baby Murr off with a lovely gentleman who was rocking back and forth outside of a building at the Starlust. I assumed since this fellow had a natural swagger about him he would be the perfect babysitter for baby Murr. He very generously offered to take her off my hands by grabbing her with his one free hand (there was some sort of bagged malt liquor in the other) and mumbled something about the end of the world. After leaving baby Murr with this obviously superior child-care provider I took it upon myself to scale the side of the Starlust sign as I thought it's neon glow would do nothing short of illuminate my next Paper ensemble. If I must say so myself (and of course, I will) I looked ravishing.
Once I removed myself from the towering heights of the Starlust sign I made my way to Schadenfreude. After daintily relieving myself in the ublemished ladies facilities I did a little make up reworking thanks to free lipstick provided by the lovely Allegory Malaprop (I do realize that someone as utterly georgeous as I am does not need un natural touch-ups but I just couldn't resist the color Allegory provided, what a classy dame).

Ki-Squared was a perfect place to take a breather after all that walking (a voluptuous woman such as myself likes to hire large beautiful men to carry her when possible). Kiki Cunningham had generously provided a couch fit for a woman of my discriminating taste. I also admired her wide leg jeans advertisement on the wall and noted that I must wear the ones I own at my next casual event (although it is rare that I am not attending things saturated in gowns and jewels of course).
How exhausting being fabulous is...I had to stop by Pudge for a free glass of the Starlust's finest Cupcake Wine.
Thimbles provided a dramatic atmosphere fit for my many emotional outbursts (I've been working this out with my psychiatrist, although seeing as he has fallen madly in love with me I realize he is no longer unbiased...who can blame a fellow though?) Paper Couture obviously is the perfect accompanyment to a nervous breakdown as it is so well padded for when I dramatically throw myself about in a drama queen spell.
Lastly I visited the upscale bordelo known better as Hot Box. Stein Shilova sure has some classy gals working their magic there. I paid for a massage and ended up with far more then that (possibly some exotic and romantic venereal disease). The painted women that worked here were so stunning and fair that I questioned my own beauty in comparison (but only for a moment, darlings). You can look like any one of these beautiful strumpets if you stop by Hot Box and just do some clicking.
Do stop by the Starlust my angels. Wear your best Paper Couture and bask in the ethereal glow that is the world's finest. Hubba hubba.

My foot wont stop itching...

My right foot has been itching so incessantly i'm starting to think that it's either riddled with disease or possessed by the devil. Either way, my itching extremity has not kept me from hair building; so I have two new styles to offer at PUDGE. Both styles offer some classic elements that one would strive to obtain for comfort and practicality sake while also containing the quirkyness and campy properties i'm sure you've come to expect from PUDGE.

The first style available is called the "Home Done Hair Cut". I know that when I was a teenager (circa 700BC) we didn't have those new fangled Flowbees (http://www.flowbee.com/info_testimonials.htm) and hair salons (http://www.monroviaoldtown.biz/images/Profiles/Fashion-cuts/hair-salon-monrovia.jpg) rather we had to cut our hair ourselves. The Home Done Hair Cut is inspired by this idea. For all the trail blazers that paved the way by sporting choppy and uneven hairstyles proudly before the modern age of hair care I salute you!

The second hairstyle I have is called "Fair Verona". This hair was made specifically for the purpose of fundraising for the Starlust Motel. We at the Starlust Motel have been absolutely overwhelmed with joy at the positive feedback we've received and are already churning our mental gears in preperation for a desired expansion.

Unfortunately for us we aren't made of dolla-dolla-billz-ya'll. So, some of the designers of the Starlust have decided to band together and try to raise some cashola in the hopes of bringing you more kitch, more wackyness, more fun, more amazing products, wacky buildings, and of course more really crappy freebies (can anyone say beautiful baby #2? lolzzzzzz). The Fair Verona only available in a fundraiser fat pack for 450L (which is a darn good deal for 12 colors considering my normal 3 packs are 225L each).

So do it. Help the cause. Save a kitten. Buy some hair.

Apparently people are scared of drag queens...

Well, it seems to me that people are terrified of my drag persona I call "Da Duchess" whom I used for my "Hot Mess" hair ad. Maybe it isn't queens they are afraid of; rather, the bacon pasties my particular queen had on his nipples...OR maybe his amazing make up and panther tattoo...I suppose when you get right down to the nitty-gritty it doesn't really matter why the ad is scaring people, it just seems to be.

So what I did to remedy this problem was created a new (and sadly, drag-queen-less) ad for those of you who are a little more emotionally sensitive and can't handle the fabulousness of Da Dutchess (aka Double Dutch). The hair is still available only at The Starlust Motel PUDGE location and will be going in my Caribe and Cotton candy locations on Monday (which I know is technically today but i'm far too tired to make that happen right now).

The last few weeks for me have been tragic. I've basically been living in a swarming cesspool of disease and horror. I had me some strep throat for about 2 weeks and I lost about 20 lbs on the forced anorexia diet (I could not swallow anything except for water and slim fast).

Thankfully now I'm back in full swing and back to creating goodies for the SL community. The hair that I have for you this week is called the "Hot Mess". It's aptly titled I think as it sort of reminds me of a 2 week bender gone so right. You may wake up in a pool of your own mess but damnit; you be lookin' so very fine!

You can pick up the Hot Mess at PUDGE locations at Cherry Buttons and Caribe by Monday the 7th; however, this weekend (April 4th, 5th, and 6th) the Hot Mess is ONLY available at the Starlust Motel PUDGE (a brand new shopping collective)!
Speaking of the Starlust Motel you absolutely MUST come to the grand opening tonight at 11pm SL time. The Starlust is the brainchild of Apatia Hammerer and Melatonin Hax of Thimbles fame and it is absolute GENIUS. The party shall be something of a sight i'm sure (formal wear is required) and there are a lot of brilliant designers who have come together to make the magic happen. Some of the people you can find at The Starlust are: Thimbles, Ki-Squared, Hotbox, Bagley, Schadenfruede, SD wears, GG couture, La Sylphide, Amplify, and Violet Voltaire.

There will be lots of goodies, freebies, wacky individuals, designers, perverts, and downright scoundrels there. I have to work tonight but as soon as I get home I'm there with bells on and you better be too. All the cool kids are doing it.

I'm sure Saint Patrick would approve.

Ode to Saint Patrick's day. Isn't it amazing how something with such heavy religious foundation can turn into an excuse for frat boys to get hammered and vomit on one another? So is the world we live in...eventually everything is turned into a reason to get completely wasted and puke. In honor of drunken regurgitation I've released a St.Patty's day themed dollarbie at both my Cotton Candy and Cherry Buttons (mainstore) locations.

I've been trying really hard this week to make/put out some new hair. As you can see my attemps have been fruitless; however, I did (in between frustrated yells about failed hairstyles) put out a new 20 pose fat pack at my Cherry Buttons PUDGE location.

I suppose I couldn't live with myself thinking that someone out there might have a need for more poses involving amputees. Just knowing that some dear fashionista might be saying "I desperately wish I could have both of my arms on one side of my body" well, let me be your pose fairy godmother and make those dreams a beauuuutiful reality.

Also, PUDGE at Cherry Buttons has been fully remodeled so you should bring your grandmother by because it's wholesome and morally uplifting (and you could always ditch your grandmother on the lower level and take your sweetheart upstairs for some couch kissies).

I intend to put this fat pack out at my other locations as well pending my inspiration to stop being so lazy.

I've only slept about 4 hours a night for the past 3-4 nights. In fact I can't really remember an accurate number as to how many nights exactly; all I know is I'm slowly going insane. In the height of my sleepless, exhausted, maniac frenzy I had moments of inspriation. From these inspired moments was born two new hairs and a brand new roomy store in Caribe (for those of you who visited my previous Caribe store you will know this is a good thing).

The new hairs are sculptie (a first for me) thanks in part to my awesome pal Kiki Cunningham who is a sculptie master (as I am not). I LOVED making these new hairs and I think that they will love you; the beautiful people who purchase them (and they'll even call you back the next day).

My new roomy store at Caribe that has been dubbed "The Poop Shanty". I know, classy!
New hair number 1 is called "Je suis charmant!" translated to English it means "I am charming" and in this new hair you certainly will be! It features shoulder length wavy locks that are sure to please even die hard short hair lovers like myself. It's like the Charlie's Angels met an acoustic indie rock girl and made a super amazing baby that was born in the shape of this hair.

The second new hair is called "Mary Macaroni Waves of Glory". I know the name is pretty ridiculous, but for anyone who knows me personally I'm sure that doesn't surprise as I myself am fairly ridiculous. I feel this hair offers a contemporary style with a little bit of edge. The crooked bangs are fun and quirky but the long wavy pieces will be as familiar as a snuggly pair of old slippers.

There is nothing I love more then making a complete and total jackass out of myself (like that time I was caught kissing my own reflection in the bathroom mirror when I was in the third grade) and that's why I like making wacky poses. I can't help that when I make poses some sort of beautiful divine intervention works through my fingers and creates magic. The sort of magic that will make you look like you're sniffing your own armpits in public; or pushing an invisible shopping cart. That's my kind of magic (hummina!). The newest batch of poses from PUDGE are jazzorific (I'm pretty sure I just made that word up) and I almost peed my pants while creating them (not because i'm incontinent but because I was making myself laugh pretty darn hard).

For you fashionistas there are some cute model-esque poses for sure. And for those of you who have a good sense of humor just fiest your eyes on the glory that is the "where did my neck go?" pose. It's right there in the middle. See it? Good.

Well, i've never been much for sentiment. You're far more likely to catch me watching graphic horror movies then mindless girly drivel with titles like "Love Actually" or "The Notebook". But who am I to pass over Valentines day completely? After all, i'm not completely heartless (most of the time) and I wanted to give back to the people so that they may partake in this particular holiday to it's fullest (can you say random cyber sex with a stranger who speaks in only broken English? hot hot hot) by putting out a Valentine's day product.

Also, I must admit I was driven to make a Valentine's day item for a little promo we have running at both Cotton Candy AND Cherry Buttons shopping districts. Lots of the vendors are participating and putting out V-day goodies for only 1L. So basically you should stop by and load up on amazing stuff.

Getting on to the matter at hand, my Valentines item is the "Ready to Mingle" t-shirt. It (as I stated previously) is only 1L and waiting in a lonely vendor outside of my Cherry Buttons and Cotton Candy PUDGE locations. It is a lovely/nauseating Pepto Bismol pink color and sports the phrase "Single and Ready to Mingle" on the chest. You want action this Valentines day and why leave anything to the imagination? Let the world know you're about to mingle it up.

PUDGE presents: Trailer Park Twila, a Story for the Ages.

So, you roll over and groggily open your eyes. The crusty film left from the conjuctivitis you contracted after rubbing your face all over the toilet seat of that seedy dive bar doesn't stop you from appreciating the view that creeps in between the slats of your broken mini blinds. The sun just barely rising above the double wide next door you yawn deeply and reach for a lighter to ignite the ciggarette still pursed between your lips from the night before.

You feel an arm around your waist; it belongs to a man missing the majority of his teeth (at least this one HAS teeth). You note that he is also missing his other arm, although you find this mildly arousing as you know that means he gets disability checks (girls gotta eat). The dingy smell of stale beer wafts from the strangers beard on a cool breeze blown by an industrial fan with no cover.

Screams and the sound of shotgun fire echo in the distance, but you aren't phased. You check the stranger's pockets for money before stumbling down the mini hall to check last night's makeup. While looking in the mirror you note that your hair is still in it's trademark beehive/ponytail combo and despite the bruises from what you can only assume was one hell of a bar fight; you look amazing. You are Trailer Park Twila, destitute diva extraordinaire.

I speak truths. PUDGE now offers a fat pack of 20 super awesome, splendorific, lovely, wacky, and super poses for all of your modeling needs. Not a model? Well, maybe you just want to stand around looking friggin amazing, PUDGE poses can MAKE YOU AMAZING (disclaimer: Pudge poses may not actually make you amazing.) It's been a while

I realize that it's basically been ages since my first post. It's not that I haven't wanted to post. It's that I've been attempting to get this blog out on some SL fashion feeds so that my goods and services can reach a wider audience!

A whole bunch of new things have happened over the last month or so. I've opened a mainstore located at the Cherry Buttons shopping district. It's adorable. Cuter then puppies and kittens wearing sweaters with pictures of puppies and kittens embroidered on them. Serious.

I've released NEW TEXTURES! This is a giganticly, huge, massive, big, fatty deal. The reason this is such a huge deal is because I am of the opinion that textures really "make" the hair. And although I was quite fond of my old textures (as they are what I started out with and served me beautifully), these new textures have a lot of blood, sweat, and tears poured into them and I really think you'll like them too.

Some other news is that i've made and released 4 new hairstyles and 1 retextured favorite.

The first new hair is called "The Audrey 1920" and it's inspired by lovely 1920's hairstyles worn by classic beauties of that era.

The second hair is called "The Blake". It's a messy/short/sassy style that sort of reminds me of what would happen if Winona Ryder were caught in a windstorm (maybe a windstorm of shoplifting, lolzzzz).

The third "do" is called "The Leslie Hall". The name of this is very appropriate seeing as I designed the hair after the fabulous Leslie Hall herself. If you aren't yet familiar with the fabulous Leslie Hall I strongly suggest you look her up on google. You wont regret it. Two words: Gem Sweater. Yessss

The fourth hairstyle is my personal favorite and I basically havent stopped wearing it since I made it (forgive me if that seems egomaniacal). This hair is called "The K Oh!" and was inspired by Karen O from the Yeah yeah yeah's. It's a bizarre mix of short and long. It's quirky, odd, and lovely just like Karen O.

Last but not least we have the retextured favorite: The Crystal. I am pleased to say that I see this hair a lot. I want to thank all of you who have purchased it and have really helped me to boost my exposure. You're all beautiful!

The time has finally come. No, not armageddon...rather, a blog focused around the merchandise created by moi (Crystyle Bukowski) in a game called Second Life. If you aren't familiar with second life; you need to be, as I can't think of many other places in existence (virtual or not) where you can buy a buttplug, walk through an enchanted garden, and go to the Church of Satan all in one sitting. Delicious.

Speaking of delicious I will be using this blog as a way to inform you; dearest readers, of new releases at my store PUDGE. I have locations at the following places: Caribe, Cotton Candy, and Fashion Victim. Do stop by, slap some demos on your skull, and bask in the glory that is hair and accessories.

"The Crystal" is an adorable and funky short hairstyle that was inspired by my very own real life hair. It's like owning a little piece of me isn't it? Mmm stalkerific.
